Chromium(III) oxide (Cr2O3)
Purity: 99.99%
Chromium(III) oxide is an inorganic oxide, chemical formula is Cr2O3, in which chromium is+3 Oxidation state. Chromium(III) oxide is one of the common chromium oxides, which is used to produce other chromium compounds. The crystal structure of Cr2O3 is similar to that of Al2O3. The oxygen atoms are cubic and tightly packed, and chromium occupies 2/3 of the Octahedron voids. It is Antiferromagnetism at 307K (Néel temperature).

Application scope:
1. Used in metallurgy, as well as ceramics, refractory materials, pigment industry raw materials, and organic synthesis catalysts.
2. Used as an analytical reagent and catalyst.
3. Used as a filler for coloring, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance of adhesives and sealants. It can also be used as colorant for enamel, ceramics, Artificial leather and building materials; Organic chemical synthesis catalyst; Sunproof coating and specialized ink for printing banknotes.
4. Colorants used as cosmetics are mainly used for eye cosmetics, but not for oral and lip cosmetics. They are not recommended for facial cosmetics and nail polish.
5. Chromium(III) oxide is one of the main components of silver plating dipping solution, and newly prepared Chromium(III) oxide is an important raw material for preparing chromium fluoride and Chromium(III) bromide.
